Having read the information on this site about the Energy Efficiency Certificate, could I ask if the same laws/rules apply in Catalonia as in the rest of Spain?

I have been renting near Barcelona and have never seen or been offered an Energy certificate.  I have been in this apartment just over 9 months.

Is there any particular reason you want one?
I rent an apartment in Barcelona and have never seen the EPC…but then again, I never asked.

It’s a legal requirement. The certificate should be included in the information that the landlord provides to the tenant prior to entering negotiations of a transaction.

Yes..I understand it is a legal requirement…as in the UK. But not really worth the paper they are written on. Just another attempt to interfere in people’s lives and property.
