Whilst an end of the European Union is unlikely at the moment there is some pressure on UK politicians stirred upby some British newspapers for the UK to leave the EU. Might it be a good time for property owners who want to be able to stay there to get Residence Permits just in case ? Are there any disadvantages in getting one apart from the fee? I have worried that the UK mght impose exchange control regulations or a restricted foreign currency allowance is introduced for UK travelleling abroad. As its unsafe to keep much in a Spanish Bank account whats the best way to fund winters abroad -currency in a secure home safe ? Swiss made small gold bars ? $ notes . I am not going to panic but believe in being ‘prepared !
