In Mark Stucklin’s Times article on the 8th September 2007 “The pain in Spain is a law that isn’t plain”, I was interested in his comment that the restrictions to renting that apply in some parts of Spain do not apply if you rent for longer periods.
Does anyone know if renting for (say) three months a year if the time is spread out into several chunks of time counts as a longer period? So for example if someone agreed to fractional rent a villa from me for 13 weeks every year at dates we agreed each year (according to some basic formula), would this be considered as several short rentals, or a long rental?
