      Is there an on-line central register where the registered owner of a specific property can be obtained, assuming you have the full address of the property?

      Do you mean a nota simple? If so I think you can get one at
      You may need more than the address though, probably the registration no. or valor catastral.

      I am looking if ther is an equivalent to the UK Land Registry, where you can put in an address, pay a few quid and get the details of the registered owner.

      Yes thats the one, the link above is the property register, also will tell you if there are any debts on the property.
