As some of you may know I’m working on a new section called property buff. I’m using this section to publish lots of fresh articles and news about Spanish property.
I need to find out if there are any problems with the layout. It looks okay on my computer, but a friend of mine tells me that the pages don’t display properly. He says the navigation bar is distorted, and covers half the text of each article.
Could you have a look please, and tell me if it looks fine to you, or whether it looks weird. If it looks wrong, could you let me know in what way, what internet browser you use, and your operating system (windows vista, apple mac, etc.).
To go there click on ‘property buff’ in the navigation bar above, or use this link:
Thanks for all that. Paul, you’re a veritable goldmine of useful online tools.
Anyone using mac operating system and safari browser? That’s what my friend is using, and he reported problems. Trying to find out if it’s just something peculiar to him.
Just viewed it on Ubuntu (Linux) and Firefox 3 (Beta) and it displays fine. Next time I use Windows Vista I will view with Firefox and Opera and let you know.
I would guess s/he is has an issue with the PC screen resolution rather than a real problem with the web page. Well designed pages should work at any resolution, from 800×600 to 1280×1024 and beyond, in reality who going to check and one small slip in defining table or photo widths will cause issues with low resolutions. For example this site will struggle with low resolution screens as the word-rap, stops due to the header image, as you reduce browser width size. Funny though it works on my mobile phone!
Run the test site and if it looks OK on them then I’d rest easy.
