The spanish judge has allowed an appeal after the case was dismissed last year.

I saw that katy and I hope they get him this time, although this is for alleged fraudulent furniture package sales, then I hope they go after him for the rest 😡

Agree. One would have to have a house to put the furniture in. The furniture package was sold as part of the property sale. This is not a chicken & egg situation.

I purchased a property with Mr Macanthony in 2007 and was treated superbly, was not pressured into buying, always responded to e-mails and kept me informed of progress, he helped all the way to completion in 2009, and I am still enjoying my piece of paradise in the sun. ( Surely I am not the only one happy with the treatment I received).

      Really? good for you.
I would suggest posting more on a range of sites, giving your real name and complex where you bought. Like you say, you cannot be the only one out there!

      UBEDA,
I did not purchase a property for greed so am not bothered about any growth, I purchased it for a retirement home and as previously stated I am well pleased with the property purchased and the lifestyle I can now enjoy.
Something that you and fuengi obviously do not enjoy hence the sarcasm from both your postings

Actually that would be your interpretation of my post. But the onus is on you to prove your statement about buying happily.

You say you dealt directly with the owner and had a positive experience. So much so that you had to become a member of SPI to post about it.

Unfortunately the company you bought for tends to get quite a bit of negative press over sales tactics, etc…. So if you were happy with your treatment I would suggest doing what I said in a previous post.

Is “posh” a reference to Peterborough United? Might explain why poshmum seems to support this egotistical loser.

That’s an excellent observation Russ, of course him being Chairman of Peterborough and them known as ‘Posh’, it is very fishy, way too much of a co-incidence she appears to have blown her cover, probably a relative or staff member, hilarious 😆

Now I repeat I hope they go after him 😉

We still don’t know where (‘POSH’ Mum) bought 😆

The sad thing is, there must be some who bought through them and are happy. But poshmum only response is to resort to ad hominem, instead of backing up her statements.

There is no ‘cover to blow’ , I am a Peterborough United fan, and cannot see a problem with that, I am not an employee of Peterborough nor a relation of anybody connected with the club or chairman, I went on an inspection trip was impressed with the treatment I received and purchased a property, and still am enjoying that property.
I came across this forum after reading a column in a local Spanish newspaper wrote by Mark Stuklin so decided to view SPI, wrongly I thought it was a forum for ex pats with help and advice and nice people, sadly I have realised it is just a forum for people to criticise and to be nasty to others, I am sure with every company that was in the same field there are purchasers not happy with what they were sold but I was just relating to my personal experience of purchasing through MRI, perhaps these critics do not like to see others happy and enjoying there retirement.
My property is in Los Alcazares, thank you.

please stop trying to turn this around.
You are the one that stated you bought with ‘mr macanthony’ himself and not just through the company. We are asking you to back it up. You are choosing not to and instead say we are all mean people for not believing you. If you have an ounce of debating skill, which I assume you have considering you think of yourself as upper class (posh), then you know it is for you to back up your statement.

Next, coming onto the forum and registering within 2 hours of the original post, not posting on any other thread but this one, etc… does not create much credibility on your part.
But if you feel that strongly that Macanthony needs to be defended, then you should be posting verifiable details, not simply stating in what town you bought.

Resorting to ‘ad hominem’ attacks only shows that you have no ability to back up your previous statements. So at this moment you are only being considered a ‘troll’ by the other posters on here.

Thank you Fuengi, glad you are so complimentary. I cannot really see what your problem is with my postings. My comments have been made in good faith of my experiences, but after being told that you are an estate agent I can understand your bitterness, do you have any happy clients??

I am sure Fuengi does have contented clients. His record on here is quite unbiased for an Agent.

On the other hand there’s plenty of evidence that Mr MacAnthony has plenty of discontented clients, hence the groups formed to take action against him and his company.

Someone has to support Peterborough United I suppose, but I’d find that difficult to do with him as Chairman 🙄 Did their fans get a special deal to buy properties? 🙄

I’m sure they have been. But as you see from the posts by others on here, we are asking you to back it up or be treated as a troll.

Again, trying to shift the conversation. Whether I am an agent, ex-employee, an angry vendor/buyer, man in a tin foil hat, makes no difference to this conversation. YOU have made a statement, that you are unwilling or unable to back up.

It seems to me that all Poshmum is stating is that his experience with MacAnthony was a positive one. There are probably others too. That does not mean he supports or condones the practices that MacAnthony is accused of performing. That is for the courts to decide.
      Mexberry.

Oh fully agree. Although it goes counter to (according to what I have been told) their operating procedures. And had she said that she bought through the company it could be possible, but she but through Mr Macanthony (so I assume Darragh Macanthony).

So if what she says is true (and I never said otherwise) she should post on a range of similar sites, giving her real name and complex where you bought.
The poster was happy enough to join SPI solely to post on this thread and defend the company. So why not a bit more info?
