It is just a short 10 min drive from the town of Pinoso, where you can get all of your weekly provisions – there are 3 supermarkets, a post office, a number of banks, butchers, bakers, etc and a variety of bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a market every Saturday.
In approx 20 mins you can be in the larger town of Jumilla, again everything you need can be found here and the market is held on a Tuesday.
Alguena, which has a large Sunday market is also just under a 10 minute drive away.
There are many small villages nearby such as Canada del Trigo, Barinas, Macisvenda.
The area is very popular with cyclists and walkers. Just a few minutes drive away is the Sierra de la Pila nature reserve.
It’s easy to get to the airport – Alicante airport can be reached in 50 minutes and San Javier takes just over one hour.The capital city of Murcia is approx just a 40 min drive.
If you fancy a day on the beach then these can be reached within the hour too.
