We noticed on your list of bankrupt people was VIVA Estates we are still trying to resolve a prplem with them since 2002 when they sold us 2 off plan apartments which were not built. We used a lawyer recommend by them who then cheated us out of a lot of money by signing for 2 wrong apartments.
As Viva are still operating in the Expo Spain showrooms how can they be going bankrupt or is this a different company.
Could you also state how many of the actual people are bankrupt or are they still swanning around in their Mercs whilst all their assets are in the names of their wives and children?
Also, could you explain the bankruptcy laws in Spain. So it’s for life, therefore people who are declared bankrupt cannot set up other companies, can’t work within the system again without payments being taken out of their wages directly etc.
Could you provide us with some real background information of how it all works please here for us all on the forum. Thanks
Is it possible to update your list of Bankrupt Developers since 2008 on this site or send me a private mail
Many Thanks
Regards
Hi pensure2010
I will look for an updated list, although now there is a useful tool to find out if a certain company is already under Court administration. This is the public bankruptcies registry: http://www.publicidadconcursal.es
If you need information on a specific company, please send me a pm and I will come back to you.
Best regards,
Martin

Dear itsme,
I do understand your message and unfortunately it is the case in many ocassions.
What we are doing now against those that are clearly hiding behind a setup to protect their assets is start criminal proceedings which in many ocassions -not all I must admit- prove to be very effective.
With regards to your petition of an explanation of the bankruptcy laws in Spain (specially from a practical point of view) I will try to prepare something an upload it to our website in English (which is down at the moment, by the way). In any case I will also post it here.
In the meantime, please feel free to post here your questions or pm me.
