It’s a 3 minuter drive from what is still Lanzarote’s only golf course and a one minute drive (or 12 minute walk) from the centre of Costa Teguise..

Unlike mainland Spain, Lanzarote (and the rest of the Canaries) is a year-round resort with 340 days of sunshine per annum. Flights go from most UK airports, with around ten per week from Heathrow and Gatwick. Jet2 and Easyjet are now offering cheapies from many of the regional airports. Flight time from the UK is four hours.

Engel and Volkers ( a leading Spanish Real Estate company) have published a survey, as quoted by Mark, which says that the average price of an apartment for sale in Lanzarote in 2008 is 180,000 euros! Mine is slightly over half that! It’s a bargain waiting for somebody!

Just to add, the complex is next to a newly finished development where the properties are going from between 336, 000-750,000 euros! The King of Spain has his Lanzarote residence just next door! (He’s never popped in for tea. though…….)

Costa Teguise is only a ten minute drive from Arrecife, Lanzarote’s capital. As the pace of life (and the traffic!) is nowhere near as busy, many people are moving out of Arrecife and into CT to live.

This, of course, increases rental potential.

I’ve just seen Jasmine Harman (on A Place In The Sun-Home Or Away) say that the average price for a two bedroom apartment in Lanzarote is £194,000! (or about 215,000 euros!) So, is this a bargain or what? I advise all potential buyers to get in touch quick! (Is that the phone? Jasmine? You’ve seen my advert? Great……..!)
