Hello
I wonder if anyone could clarify please the income tax to be paid for non residents who rent out their property in Spain.
I understand from the information I have read on this website and links from it that non residents who rent out their property
have to pay tax of 24% of the rental income they receive quarterly to the Spanish tax authority
I have read that as of 1st January 2010 that there was a change to the Spanish rules which meant that EU residents ( us living in the UK)
can deduct expenses against rental income provided these expenses are directly related to the rental income generated from the property in Spain.
Can anyone tell me what expenses can be included in these deductions eg electricity bills etc ??
Thanks
