Has anybody had dealings with currency brokers that regulary advertise on the local radio and in the local press. The ads do make it sound attractive and promise to eliminate all bank charges at both ends of the transaction. I’m tempted to try, but before I dip my toe if anybody has had any dealings good or bad I would be interested to know.

Not sure if I’m allowed to name names but hey..

I have used Moneycorp and found them to be professional and would readily recommend them. Can’t say about any others as I have only done the one transfer, but I think most of the big names will save you money when compared to the Dick Turpin rates charged by the banks.
