      Hi

All Major providers are represented in Spain along with a few smaller local companies.

Check out the coverage of the area that you want to operate in most and buy acordingly.

I have just bought a Vodaphone pay as you go and this works great in my area of the CDS.

Carphone Warehouse operate in Spain under the name of The Phone House, they give unbiased information as well being able to sell most brands.
Remember due to anti terrorist legislation you will have to registar the phone and have a passport or NIE Number to purchase one.

Sorry Steve this is just Big Brother, the government can crack on about terrorists that is for the birds, they check into all phone calls ,emails etc and they can locate where a phone is in seconds.

Mobile rates are very expensive in Spain as is the internet, fixed phone etc. so Mr Enquirer keep a check on what you are spending, I find mine useful for receiving calls and texting, hardly ever use it for making a call too expensive. Watchout if you use the supposedly cheaper 901 and 902 numbers, if you call them the price is horrendous. But a pay as you go is a better bet than a contract, even though indivuidual calls cost more at least a check can be kept on expenditure.
