I am going to be renting a car for 21days in Spain, from Madrid airport. The cost of insurance CDw etc seems to be very high from Hertz, more than doubling the rental costs. I can get coverage through my credit card for CDw however is there any alternative that someone could suggest? I can just see all sorts of issues arising if there was a claim as the ins. Co. Is based in N. America.

Hertz are one of the most expensive. Best left to people with corporate credit cards I think.
I use this operation a lot. Seem to have good prices. Let me know if you find better.
