We have recently sold a villa in Florida and hope to buy an apartment in Costa Calida soon. Can anyone advise us whether we should buy a resale or direct from the developers. What is the current market like?

Its a buyers market. Buying new or resale has its own pros & cons. If you are buying an resale. please ensure that you get a complete structure survey done. visit & talk to the neigbouring property owners.

I am sure that you will use a lawyer. Try & select a lawyer from a different town so that you can minimise the possibilty that the lawyer do not have a conflict of interest or is the sellers pocket.

Let, your mind rule & not your heart anything you are not fully satisfied just walk away.

Why anyone would want to choose Costa Calida over wonderful Andalucia is beyond me, the only reason I can think of is price.

Everyone to there own but Andalucia is the place to be if you can afford to liver here that is, obviously thats my opinion and everyone to there own.

I came here to live in 2002 and Id say cost of living was about 35% of where I came from in brighton now its more like 65% Its still a fantastic place to be, from my house I can be in the breath taking lakes of Ardales in 35 minutes or partying till dawn in puerto banus, I cant think of anywhere esle in the world like that.

Think Senor Nick you would be more than a little surprised if you ever deemed to leave your comfort zone of Andulusia and Puerto Banus and investigated the wealthy Spanish areas of the stunningly beautiful Costa Calida.
But then , although some areas of Brighton are very nice, I could never have lived there. At any price.
So agree. To each his own

      Agree Katy.
Personally think Senor Nick might be luckier if he landscaped his garden… with grass ,plants and paving ….like the Spanish and Brits do in my area.
And we all have similar amount of land as he 😉

Well anyone who chooses Costa Calida or Costa Blanca over Andalucia for any reason other than price is welcome to it.

Some of you really need to discover Andalucia the greatest and most truly wonderful place on the planet where you can find peace and tranquillity or party party but everyone to there own
