Hi everyone. I’m new to the forum so be kind 🙂 We have an apartment and we are considering trying to sell it and upgrading to a house. Just wondering if anyone else has done the same and whether or not they were glad they made the move. We are paying in the region of 1,600€ in community fees at the moment and are wondering how much it might cost to run a swimming pool if we buy a house with one. Obviously just a general estimate will do.

      Thanks in advance.

I guess it depends where you are, but average price for average size pool is between 6-800 euros per year, this should include all chemicals

While I appreciate that cost is important, there are other factors. If you dont live there than security will be the big issue for me. You maybe paying less for the pool but will be constantly paying in for the cost of repairs to doors, windows, replacing of fridge, TV etc.

Thanks folks. It was just to get a rough idea and it seems a pool may not be too expensive to run. We are approaching retirement and do like to potter around a bit. We can’t do that in the apartment so fancy a garden.
