Boothy: Girls in Puerto Banus will cost you more in a year than your one bedroom flat. It should be good for rentals. However people renting in that area will be party animals, expect extreme wear & tear and damage/loss of fixture & fittings and a high level of aggravation.

Just a question to you. Why are you so NEGATIVE about EVERYTHING?! I understand that you are not really up on Spain at the moment. But, why do you feel the need to inflict your doom, gloom and negativity even on an innocent non-property related comment? Have you had any dealings with the girls in Puerto Banus? They are not all hookers as you seem to imply. I have met quite a few girls that come down for a week or just the weekend and all they want to do is have some fun. It is very possible to spend some time with them without dropping a fortune as you seem to imply.
I am not negative. I have my investments there. None of them are with problems that sadly other forum users are having. It therefore stands to reason that I should not be negative.
The flip side of it is that I am a realist & try and give my input. The rosy input. I leave it to the estate agents.
” I understand that you are not really up on Spain at the moment.”
Not correct. I was, am & will always be. My being up on Spain or not has no bearing to peoples investments. They have to make up their own mind & than take an informed decision.
” But, why do you feel the need to inflict your doom, gloom and negativity even on an innocent non-property related comment? “
See, above. Its the innocent buyers that I try & fore warn. As I do not want that the list of the innocent buyers should extend by even one more buyer falling foul.
“Have you had any dealings with the girls in Puerto Banus?”
Not directly, I have however encountered them. Its on your face so cant miss it.
“They are not all hookers as you seem to imply.”
I agree.
” I have met quite a few girls that come down for a week or just the weekend and all they want to do is have some fun.”
I don’t deny they do. These girls can be met anywhere.
“It is very possible to spend some time with them without dropping a fortune”
I agree.
“as you seem to imply.”
I don’t know what the going rate is or for that matter or the ultimate purchase price of the flat..
My reply was based on one of the posters asking why Puerto Banus. If the posters wanted info on a place out in the country than my postings would have been very different.
Anyway 😀
Back to the girls.
As you go through the harbour side there is a ladies fashion shop that just closed down.
There is a side alley and a red door.
Knock 3 times and ask for Nora.
Just Say Frank recommended her 😀
30 Euros and packet of fags 😯 😀
See its not what you know but who you know 😉
Banus does seem to have a lot of Hen parties and they aren’t Prostitutes. Does have it’s fair share of them, needs cleaning up. A different place after 10pm. A young relative went there with Friends and they said that it was a bit of a let down as some females who didn’t seem to be working actually were. One was “invited” to a girl’s apartment after chatting and dancing with her. Only realised her intent when she pointed out the cash machine on their way out!
Back on topic ➡ My Aunt had a 2/2 in old Alcazaba. Was about 10 years ago when she sold it. Very spacious and quality fittings (would be a bit tired though after all this time). The gardens were nice with lots of streams and bridges running through. Advantage for letting and holidays as everything is in walking distance. The prices of those held up well during the last crash. I am not sure if a 1 bedroom would have as much potential investment though 😕
thanks for the input katy- as you know from my other threads i like the idea of close by amenities and the alcazaba has an indoor pool and gym etc
more a lifestyle choice than investment -if one can buy a bit lower now then it should still be worth something after all my partying for at least 10 years! 😀
nora sounds good but doesnt have that eastern european twang(is this the correct spelling? 😀 ) im looking for 😀
as you know I stayed up in Benahavis on my own recently and it was very quiet!
One more thing, you went in the second week of november, don’t expect Puerto Banus to be hopping at that time of the year either. It is very quiet, specially during the week. Most of the second line shops and restaurants remain closed. It picks up a bit on the weekend, but that too is relative. Probably the only place you will find anybody during the week on the harbourfront is at Picasso’s.
Busier than Banus at this time of the year is Marbella. There is always a lot of activity along the board walk during the day. And it specially picks up on the weekends when the Spanish come down from Madrid.
