i am a joiner to trade and my wife is a support worker with people with mental health issues ,we are hoping to work and also buy a property in need of renovation i alcoy, concentiana areas any advice please

Hi Tommy
Whilst property prices around Alcoy and Concentiana are relatively low the numbers of Expats are also relatively low, unless you speak Spanish finding employment could be difficult. Moving 45 mins nearer the coast in say the Jalon or Orba valley’s will increase the chances of finding work, but will mean property prices a bit higher.
If you want any further info on either area just ask.

hi jim
thanks for reply can you advis how far is alcoy and concentina away from benidorm

Jim! Property prices in Jalon a bit higher!Double nearer the mark as for less expats= less expat joiners .The hunt for work evens itself out, the real cause for concern is the number of Romanian,Polish workers who will do good work at half your price.

Hi Tommy
Access to Benidorm from the Alcoy area is not easy and means some slow winding mountain roads, its probably easier and quicker to take the A36, now dual carraigeway all the way to Alicante and then back up the coast.
Latchy, yes there are rural properties needing lots of work at significantly less than Jalon, however decent properties around the Alcoy area go for between 200-300k euros albeit that most will have more land. There are plenty of properties within the Jalon area at these prices, but as I said with less land.
