I have always been a EU-sceptic since I saw this comming but what amazes me is that some people thought they could both eat the cake and keep it. Voted No enter the EU and voted no against the euro because of it. The EU was tabled as free trade union with only benefits back in the days and see where we are now. Why not just have a free trade union?

As it’s the Daily Telegraph, I would imagine it was sponsored by the UKIP party. There is nothing more guaranteed to start explosive harrumphing from Telegraph readers than to propose a more tightly integrated Europe. Well, maybe an article on benefit cheats… 😉

ah didn’t know the telegraph was a tool for UKIP. Is it a common held view in England? Always good to get inside information about such since I’m not reading it that often.

Not so much a tool, but historically reflecting similar views, and always ready for a lurch to the right.
