Castalla is inland from Alicante, about 20 mins up the autovia A7. It’s a lovely spanish town which has an old moorish castle perched precariously on a hill. It has a beautiful church in the old town and has a population of around 10,000 (approx). The local people are very warm, friendly and welcoming.It also has a stunning townhall in the Plaza Mayor, which is also in the old town.
