The video podcast aims to shed light on the market looking at news and trends in the data and at the coalface.
Sean Woolley from Cloud Nine Spain and Mark Stücklin from Spanish Property Insight have come together to discuss the housing market from different perspectives in a new podcast called La Piedra (it was called Inside Track’ at first, but a name change was called for).
Sean is the founder and director of leading real estate agency Cloud Nine Spain, which operates on the Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca and the Costa Calida. With 20 years’ experience of helping clients buy and sell properties in Spain, he has contributed to a host of publications, offering practical advice and a refreshing manner that is always truly honest, no-nonsense and full of common-sense. Sean is also the author of an insiders’ guide to buying Spanish property called From the Ground Up . The book is his way of sharing his years of experience, real life stories, tips and tricks with buyers interested in investing in Spanish Real Estate. His popular market update and area guide videos help buyers to get to know the area and learn about buying property in Spain.
As part of the ‘La Piedra’ podcast, Sean will be providing his on-the-ground experience of what he’s seeing on the Costa del Sol and how buyers are responding, whilst Mark will come from a more abstract position of market data analysis.
“What we’re trying to do is have a monthly get-together, where we can talk about the Spanish property market from different perspectives,” explains Sean. “I’ll be coming at it more from an anecdotal, evidential point of view in terms of what’s happening here at the front-line of sales on the Costa del Sol, whilst Mark will be using his years of experience of data collection to see what the data tells us, and read the runes for the future.”
Sean been doing quarterly market updates on Cloud Nine’s YouTube channel since November 2020. “These are based on anecdotal evidence, gut feeling, what I’m hearing about the market in general in the Marbella area, and of course our experience with enquiries, interest and sales,” explains Sean. “But it’s very difficult to say that is backed up by the data, so with this podcast we’re delighted to have Mark to bring in the data which he’s collated and analysed, to provide powerful information and insights.”
La Piedra will be looking at the effects of different things that have happened, COVID, Brexit etc, the state of the market in general, and making reasoned predictions to help inform the investment decisions of our listeners. The plan is to point buyers and sellers in the right direction with open and transparent analysis combining data and real experience.
Planned for December is a review of 2022 and what’s install for 2023, which will be available to view here and at the Cloud Nine YouTube channel in mid-December.
