Further down the coast from Altea, the town of Torrevieja is located only 50 kms from Alicante International Airport and easily accessible by car. The sophisticated infrastructure, gastronomy, cultural life and excellent sports facilities of this area make it popular year round.

Torrevieja is famous for its two salt lakes, the combination of good “micro climate” and salt concentration makes this healthy environment especially beneficial for people with respiratory problems.

The local office, which opened last year, has entered the market at a difficult time where generally there is less demand from buyers and more clients want to sell. Prices have reduced in this area by about 15% with an average price of an apartment of around €240,000 up to €500,000 for a villa and a small semi detached house can be picked up for around €180,000.

The market is international attracting German, British, Spanish, Scandinavian, Belgian and Russian purchasers. The most requested properties are apartments, villas and semi detached houses with an averagespend from €200,000 – €500,000.

The most popular areas are Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig, Campoamar, La Zenia and Los Balcones. Properties located away from the coast offer good value and our local office advises buyers to look at property within the city of Alicante, Campoamar and Cabo Roig.
