Can anyone tell me how you get water from a river on your land to your home if you are not connected to the main supply?

    Thanks

I’m not sure that you are allowed to do this.

As with any method of water abstraction you’d need to apply for a licence to abstract water, if there isn’t a licence in place already. It may not be granted – don’t take an estate agent’s word for anything!

You need to apply for the right to use it before the Confederacion Hidrográfica ( Hydrographic Confederation)which the river belongs to.
