Just to let you all know that on Monday the Spanish Senate approved the new tax laws cutting CGT for non-residents from 35% to 18%, and the 5% retention upon sale to 3%. Now the changes just need to be published in the official book (BOE), and that’s it. Comes into force 01/01/07.

    Hi Mark
Long and awaited news, how do you think this will affect the market keeping in mind the dent in confidance, high prices etc.

Perhaps you should now start another campaign/poll to allow non residents to write off cost against rental income.

Was there anything else that has been approved by the senate that could be of interest to non residents community ???
