Before opening my new office on the roundabout as the A7 exits the Ronda road I thought I’d better look into this too!

According to lawyers and one person I spoke with in the Town Hall:
San Pedro through-road (6-lane highway) will go from the current Ronda exit to the Marbella arch on the Estepona side. Plan is to run all traffic through here non-stop. There will be no exits off this road into San Pedro whatsoever. Traffic will hence be diverted onto the beach-side bypass (which strangely hardly anyone seems to use) and up the Ronda Road to the salid of the A7 peaje. Stats quoted included an increase to 30,000 cars per day to apparently go onto A7 via San Pedro exit.

Also, another new road to watch out for is the new exit from the Ronda Road to join the Benahavis Road. This will affect and enable easier access to the developments Capanes del Golf, Marbella Club Golf, Monte Mayor + Benahavis itself and anything around Atalaya as you won’t have to fight your way thru San P to get to them. Access to Los Arqueros will also become easier and multi-faceted.

Shame no-one has been able to open that little slip road into Hacienda del Sol though, hey?

Rest assured, general chaos will ensue as per usual whilst all this goes on but it made my mind up abut whether or not to move location to this area as I can start to see the effects now.

    Hope this helps Shakeel.

“on the roundabout as the A7 exits the Ronda road “

DO YOU MEAN THE OLD RONDA ROAD, WHERE THE MCDONALD IS?

“exit to the Marbella arch on the Estepona side.”

DO YOU MEAN THE ARCH THAT SAYS SAN PEDRO AL CANTARA ?

“Traffic will hence be diverted onto the beach-side bypass (which strangely hardly anyone seems to use)”

MOST PEOPLE DONT EVEN KNOW IT EXIST.

    ” A7 peaje.”

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A7 AND N340 ?

“Shame no-one has been able to open that little slip road into Hacienda del Sol though, hey?”

THE DEVELOPERS OF HACIENDA DEL SOL, REALIA HAS MADE A SMALL STRECH OF ROAD BEHIND THE ASADABE BUS STATION. APPARANTLY FROM HERE IT WILL BE CONNECTED TO THE NEW SIX LANES THAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, YOU MAY BE AWARE THAT THERE IS A MERRIOT TIME SHARE AT PLAYA ANADALUZ AND THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO CONRIBUTE TOWARDS THE COST.

“Rest assured, general chaos will ensue as per usual whilst all this goes on but it made my mind up abut whether or not to move location to this area as I can start to see the effects now”.

WHY, SHOULD THERE BE MO CHAOS ? WE ARE IN SPAIN AFTER ALL.

    Hope this helps Shakeel.

    Hi Shakeel

OK, so the peaje toll road is the AP7 (also known as the E15) and the N340 coast road is sometimes the same road as the A7. It is the N340 which runs past Hacienda del Sol.

The exit off the AP7 is at the bottom of the Ronda Road by the back road into La Quinta, the roundabout by the big lighting shop Aranda Illuminacion.

Yep, Arch is the one that says San Pedro.

I will keep an eye out and you can PM me if you’re not in Spain and want photos/info on any works/traffic development in the vicinity.
