Hi, this is my first time of posting. Don’t know whether anyone out there can help me, but you all seem very knowledgable, so my question is :-
I am buying a villa for which the Land Registry and Town Hall entries were incorrect. At seller’s expense the necessary steps have been taken to register it correctly. The Town Hall architect has passed the amended plans, and according to my lawyer, we are now stuck, and have been for some while waiting for the Spanish equivalent of the Clerk to the Council to add his stamp to the paperwork. This could well be the same as asking ‘how long is a piece of string’ with the answer depending on location, but does anyone have experience of this likely to take months rather than weeks ? Alex 03

Yes, it like asking how long is piece of string.
However, one thing is certain. If you are able to visit or call frequently the papers will get signed more quickly. Personal contact and persistence really does work.
