Can only comment on area. Very over developed in general and full of cranes when I last visited. Quite a large ex pat “presence”.
There are some less over developed areas inland from Orihuela. Should be some bargains to be had as prices seem over inflated in the current market conditions.
Orihuela never looked that developed to me. It’s surrounded by orange groves and nestles under the mountain beautifully. The centre is bustling with shops and life. The old town is fascinating.
Is there mre than one Orihuela? 😕
