A well known Ecologist on the Costa del Sol has built his own home on rustic non-building land in Estepona, according to the Opinion de Málaga newspaper this morning.

David Torralba is a well known face at IU-Green and Ecologistas en Accion press conferences.
He’s also number two for the Green party in the candidate lists for the local elections.

He has admitted that his home does not have a municipal licence, but described his occupancy as an ‘act of disobedience’ in the face of the slowness of the local Town Hall.

If even the ecologist politicians are at it, what hope is there?
If it wasn’t so serious, it would be funny 🙁

Exactly. Imagine if we all used his excuse – everybody would be building everywhere on that basis.
    Not a very good example of a politician’s attitude – especially a so-called “Greeny”.

It only proves the point that goverment/local goverment has to move with the people in arms and harmony.

Idealogy is something nice to have at and upto until university. Out n the real world you cannot carry it.

Sad, but that is the reality and its all around us irrespespective of walk of life

    Ofcourse good governance is necesarry.
