At the beginning of May, my wife and I will be visting the Costa Blanca for an inspection trip with QSD Group. Has anybody any experience of dealing with QSD in terms of quality of build ( I understand that they are the builders of developments in the Ciudad Quesada area), customer service etc?

As well as viewing in the Ciudad Quesada, we will look at developments in Balcon de Finestrat, Mirador de Polop, Montecid and Villamartin. Has anyone any views on the areas?

Having read various reports recently, it would appear that any purchase being made now could be at the top end of the market. Has anyone any thoughts on what level of discount is being achieved on new build / key ready properties on the Costa Blanca?

Any views would be much appreciated.

You should definitely push for a heavy discount before you purchase. Prices are falling steeply so you might want to consider waiting some months to get an even better price.

Don’t be pushed into buying before you check out the local market, drop into bars and estate agents and ask around what is on the market etc.

Pictures taken a few weeks ago in the center of Estepona.
30% Price Reduction advertised for many properties.

They were probebly had 30% or 50% prices increased before reducing it. Orjust a come on. The photo seams to be of an estate agents window if this is the case the estate agent cannot accross the board reduce the prices, as he needs the consent/agreement of the vendors.

Not exactly an estate agent are they? it’s AIFOS, who have been advertising reductions since January. Whether they are real reductions remains to be seen, probably would b overpriced at 50% reductions.

    Hi David Clarke,

Before we bought I did lots of research on areas and I thought QSD was an agent, as I had a lot of correspondence from them. Correct me if I am wrong about them not being actual builders. Anyway, we decided after a few inspection visits that the Mar Menor area was right for us and have just come back after completing on our new home. I think you are right, there is a lot of competition out there and it is a buyers market definitely so shop around and be 100% certain it is the right place for you before you make a decision.
