At the next General Election, the Labour Party will be consigned to the wilderness for at least a generation.

well let’s see? The country certainly wants change. If the Tories can convince the public they will treat all classes with fairness, and not pander to the middle class to filthy rich at the expense of honest hard working people at the lower end of wage scales, then you might be right?…….but don’t forget why Labour and Trade Unions were formed in the first place!

“At the next General Election, the Labour Party will be consigned to the wilderness for at least “

Without being political, the labour party was in wilderness for over ten years and now the conservative party is in wilderness. Its just a game of musical chairs that is being played in the name democracy.

    sorry……

that’s great news about your dog. I rode my push bike to work in brilliant sunshine today!

Probably right. Apart from a ‘feelgood’ factor, nothing has conviced me things will improve much with a change of government. Just an alternative spin on similar main issues probably, with a few small policy changes to keep the faithful happy…….for now?

I haven’t forgotten, but I think this Labour Government has.
And am sure Tony Blair and wifey is not giving it a second thought while they pad around in their multi-million pound country home.

I bet the “honest hard working people at the lower end of wage scales” as you put it wonder why they are being taxed to death, with no decent pension to look forward to after Brown got his sticky Scottish fingers on the pension pot. Winnie the Pooh/honey comes to mind, just unable to stop himself.

As for the poor pensioners……I can’t even bring myself to go there. How dare this Government leave them behind like this while they vote themselves gold-plated pensions. Suzanne wrote a good sentence yesterday (on another topic): “I feel too cross to put a coherent sentence together”.

Having said all that, I want to openly declare on this forum that I love Goodstich!!!! Now that may not cheer Peechie up, but I hope it makes Goodstich’s day. πŸ˜†

    aww……..that’s sweet. The feelings mutual.

i agree that labour is a long way from it’s roots, but then i feel it felt it had to become more right wing to attract anti union type tory voters, and in that, rather lost it’s way with regards to looking after the working classes. In a similar way i feel the tories had to become more ‘left’ to leave behind the Alan B’stard/thatcher looking after the rich image.

i know we won’t ever agree on politics, but so what eh!

Its still pretty windy but as yet no rain πŸ˜†

Without trying to be like an agent (perish the thought) there is quite a noticeable movement in the market. We shall see if anything comes of it, but the spanish are fighting over the lower end units, however the higher end ones are getting interest too!

    Honest!!! πŸ™„

Spain will always have other people who just have had enough and want to move to Spain.

Like you I have had more acitivity recently, more in the last 3 months than the previous 9.

Most of the clients are people who sold about 6 months ago and downsized in the UK and are cash buyers in Spain wanting to live here and rent there UK property out. Obviously very clever bunnies in my book

Not sure I totally agree there matey (Senor Nick) your clients differ to mine – was really ‘busy’ beginning of the year but mainly timewasters.

Seems less calls and emails (thankfully) but more serious people and all nationalities. As the banks are now mostly if not all at 60% lending for non residents, times are pretty much back to the good old days – peeps who are buying for lifestyle or long term investment OR to actually live in!

My argentinian pal has less calls but has work and recently closed on 4 deals! – he had to go to sevilla, cordoba, madrid and malaga centre though, my heart bleeds!
