HACIENDA DEL ALAMO GOLF RESORT
Hacienda del Alamo is a golf resort and residential development just outside the town of Fuente Alamo, in Murcia’s south east corner. On offer are a variety of different types of residential property in a gated resort setting.
At the heart of the development is a spacious, 18-hole golf course designed by Dave Thomas. Residential zones, including villas on individual plots, townhouses and apartments, are built around the golf course.
So far, there is one 18-hole golf course up and running, as are several phases of properties, including villas, townhouses and apartments.
There is a golf academy, and a small commercial centre at the entrance to the resort. A hotel has been built, but not opened.
The Developer of Hacienda del Alamo is Procam – the real estate division of Caixa Catalunya – one of Spain’s largest savings bank. The developer used to be a company called Armilar-Procam, a joint venture between Procam and a Spanish developer called Armilar. When the Spanish property market slumped Procam took over the whole project.
Always use an independent lawyer when buying property in Spain. When buying off-plan or under construction, always insist on a bank guarantee to cover your stage payments. Make no payments without one.
