Alanda Homes is the Spanish division of McInerney plc, Ireland’s largest home-builder, and one of the biggest developers in the UK.
Alanda Homes were forced to seek court protection from their creditors in May 2010, which is often the first step towards bankruptcy. Though the properties at Alanda Flamingos have been completed, this may have some implications for the Alanda Flamingos community of owners, because Alanda Homes still own a small number of unsold units. Any issues will have to be resolved through the community of owners.
