Planning approvals down 17pc in 2010, -89pc since 2006

And sales are down 20pc so far this year, according to a survey of estate agents by Idealista.com, a leading Spanish property portal.
Official House Price Index down 3.5pc last year
The latest figures from the Department of Housing show prices fell 3.5pc in nominal terms last year. In real terms average prices were down 6.5pc.
